A new tourism experience to entice the group day visitor market to South Wales has been launched by three of the region’s leading attractions.
The Royal Mint, A Welsh Coal Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park and Hensol Castle Distillery have joined forces to create a new package, branded ‘Coin, Coal and Cheers’, which provides an action-packed and inspirational day out for incentives, team building and corporate away days.
The package, which is available to group trade only, can be booked all year round. Starting at the Royal Mint, where visitors have the chance to go behind the scenes and learn all out how the money in your pocket is made, learn all about our 1,100 years history and enjoy the NEW for 2022 Jubilee Exhibition. Your group will then head off to A Welsh Coal Mining Experience Rhondda Heritage Park. Hear tales of how Rhondda coal powered the world and journey deep underground to experience life on the coalface before rounding off your day with the chance to find out all about the history of gin and sample some award-winning spirits at South Wales’s latest craft spirit distillery, housed in the cellars of 17th century Hensol Castle. (this package can be split over two days and taken in any order).
