House of The Dragon - Series 2
The second season of the acclaimed fantasy series "House of the Dragon," a prequel to "Game of Thrones," was filmed across various locations in North Wales, capturing the stunning landscapes featured in this popular HBO series, which stars Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, and Matt Smith.
Key locations:
House of the Dragon was filmed partly in north Wales, which doubled for The Vale, the Riverlands and Dragonstone. Two old Welsh quarries were used to create exteriors for Dragonstone and Harrenhal castles. With the support of Welsh Government agency Creative Wales the production was able to harness the stunning and ancient landscapes across the region.
